FRESNO, Calif. - The draws for the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships were released Tuesday. Fresno State is sending three players to this week's championships that are being held May 23-28 at Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

Senior Remi Boutillier and sophomore Francis Alcantara of the men's team along with sophomore Marianne Jodoin of the women's team are all competing in the singles championship. This is the first singles appearance at the NCAA Championships for both Boutillier and Alcantara while Jodoin competed in the 2011 NCAA Singles Championships.

Alcantara and Boutillier will also team up and compete in the doubles championships where they are set to face off against Georgia Tech's third-seeded duo of Kevin King and Juan Spir in the first round on May 24. Alcantara and Boutillier posted a 15-10 doubles record together in the spring dual match season.

Boutillier has competed twice before in the NCAA Doubles Championships while Alcantara is making his first doubles appearance.

"I'm excited for the NCAA Championships because I was lucky enough to get a bid in both singles and doubles for my first one," Alcantara said. "I'm just going to do my best and enjoy the opportunity."

For Jodoin, who enters the singles championships ranked No. 41 nationally with a 19-4 singles record, she is set to face Washington's 17th-ranked Denise Dy on May 23 at 9:30 a.m. PT. Dy, a two-time ITA All-American in singles, was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection after going 8-5 at No. 1 singles this spring.

At last year's NCAA Singles Championship, Jodoin fell in the first round to Saint Mary's 46th-ranked Alexandra Poorta in a super tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (16-14).

Boutillier, ranked No. 27 nationally in singles, is set to face 38th-ranked Chris Mengel of Duke at 1:30 p.m. PT Wednesday. Alcantara, ranked No. 43, is set to face Mississippi's 20th-ranked Marcel Thiemann at 9 a.m. PT.

Alcantara went 21-2 at No. 2 singles this spring and posted a 5-1 record against ranked opponents. His opponent, Thiemann, went 16-4 in singles play this year for the Ole Miss team that reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

Boutillier was 21-3 at No. 1 singles and was also 5-1 against ranked opponents. Duke's Mengal went 17-8 at No. 2 singles this year.
