Women's Tennis Set for ITA Regional

    FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State women's tennis team heads to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Women's Regional this weekend, Oct. 18-22 in Stanford, Calif.

    For the seventh straight season the Taube Family Tennis Stadium at Stanford will serve as the host site for the women's tournament.

    The ITA's Northwest Region schools are comprised of California, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Davis, Washington and Washington State.

    "The Northwest is one of the best regions in the country, we will be competing against some of the top teams this weekend," said Fresno State head coach Ryan Stotland. "I'm excited to see how the team does."

    Representing Fresno State in both singles and doubles are Rana Sherif Ahmed, Anne Susdorf, Sofya Malysheva, Anneka Watts, Sophie Watts and Claire Yang.
