The Fresno State volleyball team (6-18, 1-9) takes the road once again to continue their second half of the Mountain West Conference slate playing San Jose State (3-20, 0-10) this Thursday, Oct. 30 and UNLV (19-5, 7-2) on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Zana Bowens paced Fresno State in kills (15), blocks (3), hitting (.462) and points (16.5).
The `Dogs took runner-up team honors, and Haylee Roberts and Maggie Eppright picked up all-tourney honors.
The balanced offense and defense each sport four players in double-digits in kills and digs vs. New Hampshire.
The `Dogs combined on their best hitting mark under seventh-year head coach Lauren Netherby-Sewell.

2015 (SENIOR): Contributed significantly on both sides of the ball as a starting outside hitter during her four-year collegiate career at Fresno State ... finished atop the Mountain West in career double-doubles (27) after posting a season-high of 12 her senior year ... additionally placed within the conference top 10 in kills (193) and points (216) over 65 sets ... nationally ranked No. 124 in total attacks (1,103) according to the final regular season NCAA Statistics ... made her way into the Bulldog volleyball all-time lists tied for eighth in career matches played (123) and finished top five in single match service aces (5) against Nevada on Oct. 2 ... was a 2015 statistic leader in kills per set (2.90, 2.97 MW), points (384.5) and total attacks (1,103, 609 MW), while positioned second in kills (334, 193 MW), aces (28, .24 p/s), digs (333, 193 MW) and points (216) scored during MW play ... of a 15-person roster, she logged an individual season high 57 attempts during a five-set battle against Boise State (Oct. 29), the second highest service ace figure (3) versus Georgia State (Aug. 29) and a third-best 19.5 points coming in the 2015 home opener against Cal Poly (Sept. 1) ... among her 123 career appearances, she has earned 79 starts and competed in all but one match over the past two seasons ... on defense, she has racked up 88 blocks and highest number of digs (938) among non-liberos over a four-year span ... the three-time all-tournament selection sports career game-highs of 21 kills, 58 attempts, five service aces, five blocks, 21 digs and five assists ... she will graduate in December of 2015 as a three-time academic all-conference honoree with a sports administration major.
2014 (JUNIOR): Played in all 32 matches en route to 119 sets of action last season ... a starter in all 32 matches as a junior outside hitter, competing in almost every rotation of the season ... at season's end, ranked first on squad in kills with 356 (2.99 per set), service aces (41) points (413) and double-doubles (15) ... led the team in aces in three contests; kills and points twelve times, and digs on three occasions ... among her 15 double-double games this season she had a season high of 19 kills (11 digs) against Sacramento State at the Sacramento Invitational ... picked up three all-tournament honors earlier in the fall at the Adidas Rice Invitational, Sacramento State Invitational and Roadrunner Classic ... her season high of 21 digs (in four sets) happened twice this season, once at LIU Brooklyn and again during MW play versus San Diego State ... ended the season with 339 digs, second most on the team, and first for non-liberos ... facing Nevada in early October, she added her season high in aces (3), second-best points (20) and fourth-highest total of digs (19) ... posted double-doubles in back-to-back games on five different occasions this season ... posted her best attack percentage (.478) at the Jack Kaiser Volleyball Classic in three sets against St. Francis (NY), hitting her second-best percentage (.474) against Dartmouth that same day ... among MW opponents she ranked 4th in aces (0.34 p/s), 2nd in double-doubles (15), 9th in kills (2.99 p/s) and 12th in points (3.47 p/s).
2013 (SOPHOMORE): The outside hitter played 30 matches en route to 86 sets of action ... a starter in the first 12 matches of the year at outside hitter, she also got the opening nod the last match of the year at libero ... at season's end, ranked fifth on squad in kills (1.49 per set) and tops among underclassmen ... led team in aces in three contests; kills and points twice, and digs once ... among her four double-digit kill totals, she opened the year with her first +20-kill career marks vs. Rice (21, .280) and Santa Clara (20, .341) after she entered the season with a prior best of five kills in 2012 vs. Northern Arizona ... she rounded out her first career double-double thanks to her 12 digs vs. Santa Clara opening weekend ... in mid-September at UC Irvine, she added her season high in aces (3) and the second- and third-highest totals of her career in kills and points (17 / 20.5) ... she added another double-double at UC Irvine (17 kills, 15 digs) and was just shy of similar honors earlier that day vs. American (9 kills, 11 digs) ... she kicked off the Irvine tourney with 10 kills and a .333 hitting mark in the sweep of Xavier - her first match leader in hitting on the year - and she also logged team match highs in kills vs. Rice (21) and Xavier (10) ... her 24 points vs. Rice was also the team season high; her five blocks in three sets vs. CSUB was a career high by one over her tally against CSN (4); and her three aces vs. UC Irvine tied for fifth-best for the `Dogs in 2013 ... among MW match bests of the season, she ranked 10th in kills (21) ... one of 12 Bulldogs on the 13-person roster honored with Academic All-MW honors.
2012 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 30 matches and made three starts as a freshman ... averaged 0.20 aces, 1.44 digs and 0.17 kills per set in 103 sets played ... served up 21 aces, which was third on the team ... had five multi-ace efforts ... recorded a career-high three aces in a match twice ... collected 148 digs and a career best of 17 against Sacramento State ... tallied 10 or more digs in a match three times ... hit a career-high .375 and five kills against NAU ... totaled 18 kills, five assists and four blocks ... was honored to Mountain West All-Academic Team at season's end.
HIGH SCHOOL (Long Beach Poly): Lettered four years in volleyball at Long Beach Poly ... recorded a final team record of 39-3 ... two-time captain ... won the 2011 CIF Championship ... named second-team All-Moore league twice.
PERSONAL: Parents are George and Lazette, and has two siblings, Zion and Zoe ... loves going to the beach, spending time with her family and cooking baked goods or desserts ... chose Fresno State because of the big athletic community that surrounds the school and its very welcoming atmosphere.
