Fresno-State Nevada Volleyball Match (10/12/13)
Three members of the Bulldog volleyball team blazed through the Fresno Grass Volleyball Association's Inferno Tournament this past weekend as undefeated champions.
The 'Dogs started the 2010 season by hosting the Fresno State Classic.

2013 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): With starts the last 23 matches of the season, the All-MW honoree reignited the team's offense and back-row digging ... overall in 2013, she led the team in kills in 10 matches; nine times in points; six times in hitting; and five times in digs and three contests in digs ... she posted three, 20-kill matches vs. San Jose State (22, .255, 8 digs), American (21, .288, 11 digs) and Air Force (20, .353, 14 digs) among her 19 double-digit kill efforts the last 22 matches (including 11 double-doubles) ... in early October, her season-best .478 hitting mark vs. Nevada was one of five +.400 totals with her total at UNLV (.444, 14 kills), vs. Boise State (.471, 17 kills), Air Force (.462, 14 kills) and vs. No. 10 Colorado State (.400, 13 kills), and 13 +.300 totals ... in late September, she set a career high in blocks vs. Utah State (6) and a season high in digs (19) ... in MW play, stood third in kills (3.78 p/s) and points (4.18 p/s), and 17th in hitting (.282), and top 20 for all matches combined in kills (eighth, 3.17 p/s), points (11th, 3.50 p/s), double-doubles (11th, 9) and hitting (20th, .261) ... among MW season highs, she ranked top 10 in kills (fifth, 22 at San Jose State).
2012 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Appeared in 30 matches and made 29 starts ... ranked second on team in kills (369, 3.18 per set), digs (2.84 p/s) and double-doubles (12), and also averaged 0.15 aces per set ... earned first team Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA ... tallied a career best 25 kills against Wyoming ... collected a season best 22 digs against Sacramento State ... hit a season-high .333 against Air Force ... totaled 17 assists, 13 aces, 46 blocks and 329 digs ... recorded three multi-ace efforts ... had 19 matches with 10 or more kills and eight matches with 15 or more kills ... also had three matches with 20 or more kills ... recorded 10 or more digs in 18 matches and 15 or more digs in six matches ... tallied a season best five blocks against NAU and Utah Valley ... had five solo blocks and 41 assisted blocks ... recorded a season-high 25.5 points against Wyoming ... averaged 3.5 points per set and had a total of 407.5 points on the year ... delivered two multi-assist efforts.
2011 (MEDICAL HARDSHIP): One of the West Region's best outside hitters ... Even with suffering a season-ending knee injury on Sept. 17 during match against San Francisco in UNLV Classic, led team with 3.94 kills per set and 4.3 points per set ... in 11 matches played, recorded 142 kills, 91 digs, 10 blocks and eight aces ... delivered career-best .500 hitting percentage (16 kills with two errors on 28 attempts) vs. Marist on Sept. 3 in Sacramento State Invitational ... tied career-high with three aces against Sacramento State on Sept. 2 ... opened the season with four double-doubles and posted 10 or more kills in 10 matches for 12 straight dating back to previous season ... posted 10 or more digs in four matches ... served as one of team's captains.
2010 (SOPHOMORE): As a versatile and talented athlete, she quickly became one of the WAC's premier outside hitters ... earned second-team All-WAC honors ... on the season, recorded a WAC-best 12 double-doubles (kills/digs) and led the team with 354 kills ... also contributed 268 digs, 16 service aces and 47 total blocks as one of eight Bulldogs to play in all 28 matches ... established new career-highs while shattering previous best marks in every major statistical category ... delivered a season-high .400 hitting percentage at Louisiana Tech ... landed career-best 23 kills in two road separate matches at Nevada and Boise State ... posted 10 or more kills in 19 matches ... posted 10 or more digs in 12 matches ... racked up a season-high three aces vs. Utah State on October 30, 2010.
2009 (FRESHMAN): Played in 23 matches, started in seven ... became one of the best freshmen blockers in the WAC ... on the year, posted 93 kills, 47 digs, 27.0 total blocks and 108.5 points ... had a season-high 12 kills and 43 attempts at LA Tech on Nov. 12 ... posted a .375 hitting percentage at Sacramento State on Sept. 12 ... had her first career assist and posted three blocks assists vs. Nevada on Nov. 9 ... had her first career ace vs. New Mexico State on Nov. 14 ... had nine digs in two separate matches on the year, once vs. LA Tech and the second at San Jose State on Nov. 19 ... at Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 17, posted high's in block solos, total blocks and points ... had double-digit kills in three matches on the year.
