Bulldogs Honor Seniors

FRESNO, Calif. - All five Fresno State volleyball seniors contributed in huge ways, but in the end the Bulldogs fell to New Mexico State in Western Athletic Conference action at Saturday at the Save Mart Center. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22. Fresno State falls to 13-14 and 6-9 in the WAC but is still in contention to make the six-team WAC tournament field.
Watson made her first start of the season as she had two kills, two digs and two block assists. Munson had a kill, 15 assists, one service ace and two digs. Leonardo added six kills, one dig and three blocks.
The `Dogs led the Aggies in digs 31-29.
Fresno State hit a match-high .167 in set two and posted 12 kills in sets one and two.
Fresno State had the lead in each set at one point. The `Dogs had their largest lead of the match at 14-8 in the second set.
"I'm giving it to the senior class not because it's senior night but because every one of them contributed in a positive way for us tonight," head coach Lauren Netherby-Sewell added. "They were enthusiastic, they fought and played pretty well."
"We Are Your Team" - The `Dogs hit the road to conclude the regular season as they take on Cal State Bakersfield in a non-conference match on Nov. 17 before heading to San Jose State on Nov. 19.
