With the Bulldog win and a 3-0 win for Idaho over Boise State, the `Dogs clinched the fifth seed in next week's WAC Tournament. Enough though Nevada lost in four sets at Utah State, they earned the fourth seed by virtue of head-to-head competition and will face the `Dogs Monday night in the first round.

San Jose State took control early of set one, cruising to a 17-9 lead. The `Dogs fought back as they scored four-straight points, three of which were blocks by Brianna Clarke and Lauren Berger to cut the lead within three, 17-14.

The `Dogs tied the set at 18 with a service ace by Clarke. Fresno State then took the lead at 24-23 with another service ace, this one from Allanah Munson. A solo block by Clarke on the first set point gave the `Dogs the 1-0 lead in the match.

Clarke led the `Dogs with four blocks in the set and the `Dogs had six total team blocks.

Fresno State jumped out to a 13-10 lead in set two before the Spartans tied it at 13-13. SJSU then took a two point lead at 17-15.

The set was tied at 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. The Spartans had set point at 24-23 but a Lacey Gera kill tied the set once again at 24.

Marissa Brand tied the set at 25 with a kill and back-to-back kills by Clarke gave the `Dogs the set and a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Bulldogs controlled set three, going up by as many as eight early (19-11) on their way to winning the set and the match.

Clarke and Parker led the team with seven kills a piece. Munson had 15 assists while Lisa Gera added 14, respectively. Kelly Mason had 17 digs. The `Dogs had 14.0 total blocks, just one shy of the school record for blocks in a three-set match.
