FRESNO, Calif. - One of the Bulldogs' most decorated senior volleyball classes took center court Saturday afternoon at its team awards banquet hosted at the Save Mart Center.

Four Bulldog seniors were honored among the three team awards given out at the event.

The team's Captain Award went to senior middle blocker Lauren Albertson and outside hitter Korrin Wild, and Albertson also claimed the Coaches Award.

Similarly, Wild shared the Fighting Spirit Award with senior right side hitter Holly Franks and senior outside hitter Marissa Brand.

Last fall, the quartet helped the `Dogs polish off one of their best seasons in recent memory. Wild and Brand were MW All-Conference honorees, while Franks was tabbed the MW Newcomer of the Year.

With their first All-MW honors, Brand and Wild made the `Dogs one of four teams in the 11-team league with multiple selections on the 17-person squad.

In prior years, Wild and Brand received All-WAC Second-Team honorees in 2011 and 2010, respectively, while Franks received her first league-based laurel after playing the 2009, `10 and `11 seasons for Cal Poly.

Brand was also one of the team's most decorated in the classroom as the nine-time Dean's List pick received her third CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District honor.

All four aforementioned players were among a conference-leading 12 Bulldogs that received Academic All-MW honors after the fall slate.

Team-wise, the `Dogs (17-15, 11-9) capped their 43rd season of play in 2013 with their first pair of back-to-back winning seasons since 2003 and `04, and tied for fourth place in the MW Conference - two places better than its MW Preseason Coaches Poll position.

Also on Saturday, the Bulldogs capped their spring slate with an exhibition match against a squad of alumni.
