Allanah Munson Named GoBulldogs.com Athlete of the Week

    Senior setter Allanah Munson was named MVP of the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational. It was the first MVP honors for Munson in her Bulldog career. Munson led the Bulldogs with 69 assists over three matches, including a season-high 24 vs. North Dakota. Munson also recorded season-high's throughout the tournament in kills, attempts, hitting percentage, digs, block assists, total blocks and points and career-highs in hitting percentage and total blocks. She ranks in the top 10 in the WAC in assists per set and in the top 10 career record books at Fresno State in the same category.

    The Bulldogs are on top of the pre-season WAC standings at 5-1, their best record since the 2004 team started out 6-1. Fresno State has won three-straight matches, its longest win streak since 2005 and its longest non-conference win streak since 2004. The Bulldogs with five wins already on the season, are just two shy of matching last year's overall win total. Fresno State won the Wyoming Invitational with a perfect 3-0 record on the road, defeating North Dakota, Montana State and Wyoming.
