- Email:
Paul Ladwig is in his 13th year at Fresno State and seventh as a Senior Associate Athletics Director, currently overseeing all External Communications after serving for his first six years as the Associate Athletics Director over External Relations and Broadcasting.
During his tenure, Ladwig has also led many successful external relations and development campaigns, and expanded the department's footprint throughout the Valley. He is one of the department's spokespeople and has oversight of advertising, communications, marketing, merchandising, licensing, video services and web operations.
Throughout his time with the 'Dogs, he has consistently collaborated to promote and enhance Fresno State Athletics with stronger media partnerships and the addition of a new videoboard at Bulldog Stadium.
Since joining Fresno State in November 2005, Ladwig has found new ways to promote and enhance Fresno State Athletics in the venues the department controls. With the creation of the Bulldog Sports Network, Ladwig increased the exposure of Fresno State Athletics through additional stations for both radio and television. With these new media partnerships, the department is finding fresh ways to tell Fresno State stories.
His vision continues to bring fans superior story-telling that incorporate the latest technologies. Collaborating with media rights holder as the department's liaison to Learfield Sports' Bulldog Sports Properties, new and additional programming for radio and television were developed.
People around the world curious about the Bulldogs will continue to log onto a constantly updating GoBulldogs.com website with expanded content, video and increased participatory site interaction. Fresno State Athletics Communications took the lead nationally in developing a paperless media guide in 2009. Environmental awareness, cost containment, and the ability to provide instant information to the media are several factors in the implementation of this paperless delivery system.
With a vast and varied career, Ladwig came to Fresno State after serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Services at Ohio University. At Ohio University he was charged with ensuring an effective, consistent and progressive approach from game-day activities to marketing to image enhancement. Ohio saw a record-breaking sellout crowd at Peden Stadium when the Bobcats defeated Pittsburgh on ESPN in their 2005 home opener.
Innovative, Ladwig was instrumental in creating the Ohio Sports Network, the refinement of Ohio University's web presence and the production of programming for public television. From Network Television in Los Angeles to the slopes of the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan to documentary work in Southeast Asia, the department grew considerably under Ladwig's direction.
