Fresno State Athletics unveils new Modelo Block Party Pregame Entertainment Village

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State Athletics and Bulldog Sports Enterprises are bringing an entirely new pregame experience to Valley Children's Stadium this fall with the launch of the Modelo Block Party, a new entertainment village located on the east side of the stadium adjacent to the soccer field and east entrance.
Designed as an extension of Toyota Bulldog BLVD, the Modelo Block Party will create a new hub of activity on Fresno State football gamedays, combining live music entertainment, food and beverage, games, premium hospitality and family-friendly experiences into one destination.
The Modelo Block Party will open three hours prior to kickoff for every home football game and will be open to the public, giving Bulldog fans a new place to gather, eat, drink and enjoy the college football atmosphere before heading inside Valley Children's Stadium.
"Gameday at Fresno State is about so much more than the three or four hours inside the stadium," said Garrett Klassy, Director of Athletics. "We want the entire day to feel like an event from the moment fans arrive on campus. The Modelo Block Party gives the Red Wave a place to come together, listen to live music, watch college football, grab a drink, bring the kids and enjoy everything that makes a fall Saturday in the Valley special."
The centerpiece of the new district will be the Modelo Block Party Stage, featuring live music and entertainment at every home game. Fans will also be able to enjoy a large outdoor video screen showing college football action from around the country throughout the pregame window.
The district will feature the Coors Light Chill Zone, a dedicated outdoor bar and social space serving fans throughout the pregame festivities, along with lounge furniture and casual seating areas designed to encourage fans to arrive early and spend more time on campus.
A collection of lawn and tailgate games will be spread throughout the village, while the adjacent Fresno State soccer field will feature a dedicated Kids Zone presented by High Performance Academy with activities and entertainment for younger Bulldog fans and families.
The Modelo Block Party will also introduce new private Bulldog Party Shacks, providing groups and businesses with an elevated VIP tailgate experience in the heart of the entertainment district. The premium spaces overlook the activity surrounding the Block Party and provide a private home base for entertaining clients, employees, friends and family before kickoff.
"The goal is to create something for everybody," said Ryan O'Rorke, Vice President and General Manager for Bulldog Sports Enterprises. "You can bring your family, meet up with friends, entertain clients in a Party Shack or simply stop by to catch another college football game before heading into the stadium. We want fans to come earlier, stay longer and make Fresno State football gameday an all-day experience."
The Modelo Block Party represents one piece of a broader enhancement of Toyota Bulldog BLVD for the 2026 season. The Block Party will connect directly into the existing Bulldog BLVD footprint, creating a larger, more cohesive entertainment corridor along the east side of Valley Children's Stadium.
Fans traveling down Toyota Bulldog BLVD will find an enhanced collection of food and retail vendors, interactive games, sponsor activations and entertainment throughout the corridor. On the opposite end of the BLVD, ESPN Fresno will broadcast its live pregame tailgate radio show, bringing local sports talk and live gameday coverage directly into the fan experience.
Together, the expanded Toyota Bulldog BLVD and Modelo Block Party are designed to create a continuous pregame destination stretching along the east side of the stadium and providing fans with entertainment from the moment they arrive until gates open and the Bulldogs take the field.
